Job Description - Low Voltage Technician

What your day(s) will look like:


  • Typical business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (There will be short duration occasional travel with overnights stays, weekends and longer work days, schedule is negotiable and is sometimes dynamic)
  • While there will be some office time spent, most of your day will be onsite doing installations, service calls and customer support indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. Lunch typically is eaten in the field.
  • You will be installing CAT5/6 Cable, Coax, terminating patch panels and keystones, installing face plates, mounting camera's, installing various network hardware, fire alarm and burglar alarm installation, repair and maintenance , access control, network video recorders and home automation and theaters to name a few.
  • The company focus is on customer service and being a one stop shop for all of our clients needs.


What are the requirements?


  • Dependable transportation and a valid drivers license
  • 2+ years in cable and hardware installation or equivalent experience
  • Must be reliable, punctual, good communications verbally and written, customer service oriented, honest with integrity second to none and be able to listen
  • General experience with computers, telephone apps and other diagnostic tools
  • Neat appearance, you will be working in clients homes
  • Basic hand tools and power tools with the ability to use them
  • Must be a quick learner, self motivated, much of the time you will be working alone, team player, eager to learn and flexible
  • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to be able to find solutions and implement them
  • Must be able to work comfortably on ladders, attics, confined spaces and roofs
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75lbs
  • Construction knowledge helpful


What is the compensation?


  • Hourly, paid every two weeks, $18.00-$35.00/hr. BOE
